KJ Apa Jokes That He and Eric Dane Are a Couple on New Film Set

KJ Apa stopped hearts over the weekend with an Instagram post teasing him and Eric Dane as a couple.

The Riverdale star showed off his newly shaved head as he posed lounging in a bed alongside Dane.

“New couple alert!” he wrote.

We can pretty safely assume Riverdale isn’t going to kick Betty to the curb and give Archie a new older male love interest for its final season (that’s just our french vanilla fantasy) — at least, as safely as one can make any assumptions about the unpredictable ride that is Riverdale — so it didn’t take long for fans to start wondering if Apa was hinting at a role in Euphoria.

In actuality, the two actors are currently filming One Fast Move, a movie that follows a dishonorably discharged soldier who enlists his estranged father to help him train to race motorcycles.

And yes, unfortunately, Apa is playing the ex-soldier and Dane is playing his father (and not his daddy).

It’s still cute that this is where Apa’s mind went when trying to caption the pic for the ‘gram, and both fans and friends were hilariously supportive of the idea.

“I stan this couple,” wrote Andy Cohen.

“I’d watch that leaked video,” someone else joked, while another added, “Drop the [OnlyFans] & I’ll empty my wallet.”

Several also suggested somehow turning this into a Riverdale/Euphoria crossover episode, which we can all agree would be truly something uncanny to behold.

While we don’t have an estimated release date for this biker daddy movie just yet, we can only hope that Apa and Dane will stick to the ruse and keep posting more behind the scenes pics of their time together…as scene partners.
