KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics temporarily cease shipping during California lockdown

Sibling beauty entrepreneurs Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardadshian West are pressing pause on shipping products from their cosmetics empires while the US tackles the COVID-19 health pandemic.

The duo have announced that the California-based fulfillment centers used by their brands, Kylie Cosmetics and KKW Beauty, are temporarily closing due to the state's current lockdown policy, designed to slow down the spread of the virus.

"Due to the current health orders in California, the fulfillment center we use is temporarily closing," read a statement published this week on the Kylie Cosmetics Twitter feed. "While our website remains available to accept orders, our fulfillment center cannot guarantee delivery dates at this time. Your order will receive top priority as soon as we can resume shipping." The statement continues to explain that the brand's refund policy has been modified in response to the change, before ending with the message: "Please stay safe and healthy. Sending you all love."

KKW Beauty published a very similar message on its own Twitter feed, including the paragraph: "While this remains a difficult time for us all, we have been inspired by all of the amazing support we are seeing within our community and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding."

Both sisters have been practising social distancing themselves during the lockdown, while actively encouraging their social media followers to do the same. This week Jenner posted a message to her 167 million Instagram followers saying "The faster we stay inside the faster we can get back to it .. i hope everyone is taking social distancing serious ‼️" while Kardashian asked her 163 million followers: "What is everyone doing to keep your kids entertained??? As a family we are social distancing but need some fun ideas of what to do! Any suggestions would help!"
