Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. A Friends TV show-themed bar has popped up in Dallas. On Jan. 20, the Whippersnapper, located at 1806 McMillan Ave., launched the new theme which includes recreated sets, a foosball table, and replica recliners for characters Joey and Chandler. The new theme will be for a limited time only. (knue.com)

  2. The Klyde Warren Park Children's area temporarily closed on Tuesday as the next major expansion kicks off. The renovation has been made possible thanks to a $5 million donation which was received last year, and construction on the new Sheila and Jody Grant Children's Park is estimated to run through mid-summer. The children's area will grow from 12,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet, as a part of the Enhancements and Expansion Project. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)

  3. As of Monday, AT&T customers in Dallas, Fort Worth, and other cities can now get internet speeds as fast as five gigabits per second for $180 a month. More than five million customers will be affected by this rollout, as more than 70 cities are receiving upgraded internet speeds. This new 5G rollout was originally scheduled for last week, but it was delayed over airline disruption concerns. (The Dallas Morning News)

From our sponsor:

Last week, we told you about our new favorite non-alcoholic go-to — the refreshingly bitter drinks from our partners at Betera. They’re chef-created from natural botanicals, lightly effervescent and worthy of life beyond “Dry January.” We mentioned that their Ginger-Orange was excellent; we’ve since tried Elderflower-Lime and loved it as well — light and floral with the perfect amount of zing. We're converts.

Enough of you took Betera up on their 15% discount on first orders for Patch Daily readers that they’ve extended the offer for another week. Use PATCH15 at checkout. Highly recommended — try Betera here.
