Sep. 27—MONTGOMERY — The Barr-Reeve tandem of Braylee Knepp and Liv Emmons posted a 98 and a 99, respectively, at the Country Oaks Regional on Saturday.

The event was won by Evansville North with a 293, that also included the top three spots, as Faith Johnson shot a 69, Chloe Johnson shot a 72 and Reagan Sohn shot a 74. Castle (3-2) was second and Floyd Central was third (322). Trinidy Dubbs of South Knox advanced without her team with an 80.

"Liv and Braylee battled all day in difficult conditions. The course played longer than what we normally play, plus the wet grounds made it tough, but the girls never quit and made sure they stayed in the 90s. We had a great year, posting our first-ever team score and two regional qualifiers. The future is bright for Barr Reeve golf," said B-R coach Joe Robinson.

The State Finals will be played Oct. 1 and 2 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
