The Knights open their home season April 16, after launching their season with seven road games, against the Durham Bulls. The season’s first Friday fireworks show will be April 17.

A full list of promotions is available on the Knights’ website.

Schedule changes: Due to concerts at nearby Bank of America Stadium and the Republican National Convention in Charlotte, the Knights have made several changes in their home schedule.

Their third home game of the season, on Saturday, April 18, has been moved from evening to 1:05 p.m. That’s due to a Billy Joel concert that evening at Bank of America Stadium.

The same change, from evening to 1:05 p.m., has been made for Saturday, May 2, with Garth Brooks appearing that evening at Bank of America Stadium.

The Knights also altered their late-August home series against Lehigh Valley. Charlotte now will play a 6:05 p.m. doubleheader Aug. 21 (a Friday) and at 1:05 p.m. Aug. 22. There will be no Saturday night or Sunday afternoon games, due to the GOP convention starting late that weekend in Charlotte.

Singing the Anthem: The Knights will hold auditions Feb. 18 for people interested in singing the National Anthem before home games this season. Auditions will be from 5-7 p.m. that date at Queen City Q in Charlotte’s Uptown. Musicians can be accompanied by instruments. Those interested can apply online.
