Ping Yang Pow is a bar and Thai spot, offering seafood and more, that recently opened at 1639 N.W. Marshall St. in Northwest. The intimate charcoal-fired kitchen serves seared wagyu tartare with lime, fish sauce, galangal, herbs, shallots, rice powder and dry chilies; lamb loin skewers with mala spices, cucumber-caraway-tomato salad and grilled roti; and pork fat fried rice with crab, egg, shallots, green onions and coriander leaves. A variety of wine, beer, cider and cocktails are also on offer.
Pho Basil is a spot to score salads and soups, that recently opened at 402 S.E. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. in Buckman. The eatery offers fried rice dishes, poultry and seafood plates, pho and a selection of desserts, including banana ice cream, white chocolate raspberry truffles and chocolate mousse.
On the hunt for a new spot to score chicken wings and more? Wingstop has opened its latest outpost, located in Hazelwood at 1307 N.E. 102nd Ave. The chain offers boneless and classic chicken wings in a variety of flavors, as well as Cajun fried corn, cheese fries and veggie sticks.
