If you were born in Cincinnati, you have a better chance of becoming a billionaire than most Ohioans.

According to a study from SuperCasinoSites, Cincinnati is the birthplace of four self-made billionaires, placing it in the top 10 U.S. cities where billionaires are born.

The four Cincinnati billionaires are:

  • Henry Nicholas III, 63, with a net worth of $8.20 billion. Nicholas acquired his wealth with his semiconductor firm Broadcom.

  • Steven Spielberg, 76, with a net worth of $4 billion. Spielberg earned his billions directing movies and starting his own production company, Amblin Entertainment. He has won the Academy Award for directing twice.

  • August Troendle, 67, with a net worth of $1.8 billion. Troendle made his fortune as the CEO of the clinical research company Medpace.

  • Jim Koch, 74, with a net worth of $1.5 billion. Koch started the Boston Beer Company, which produces the Samuel Adams beer.

SuperCasinoSites, a gambling information website, looked at all 724 U.S. billionaires from Forbes' real-time ranking and determined which were "self-made billionaires," which excluded people who gained their fortune from circumstances beyond their control. This left 422 billionaires, which were then sorted by their birth city.

How does Ohio rank for billionaires?

Ohio and California tied as the state with the 20th highest billionaire per capita ratio, with both having roughly one billionaire for every 900,000 residents. The state with the most billionaires was New York.

Ohio had 13 billionaires total, including basketball player Lebron James, 38, who has a net worth of $1 billion and was born in Akron.

Cincinnati was Ohio's best ranking city with its four billionaires. The next closest was Cleveland with two billionaires.

Ohio also had one of the five smallest localities where a billionaire was born. Clayton Mathile, 82, was born in the town of Portage, which has 399 residents. Mathile, with a net worth of $2.3 billion, started the pet food brand Iams.
