There’s a lot of information to eat up.

A new series about actor Armie Hammer, who recently made headlines due to allegations of cannibalism and sexual abuse, arrives on Discovery+ on Friday.

For those curious about the 36-year-old “Call Me By Your Name” star and his wealthy family, here’s a quick guide to help you play catch-up ahead of “House of Hammer.”

Who is Armie Hammer?

Named after great-grandfather Armand Hammer — who Forbes reported was worth $200 million — the actor has spoken openly about the pressures of his familial legacy. He’s also noted in the past that his parents nearly cut him off due to his acting aspirations.

Hammer and wife, Bird Bakery founder Elizabeth Chambers, 40, ended their decade-long marriage in July 2020. Together, they share 7-year-old daughter Harper and 5-year-old son Ford. The couple announced their split months before the allegations — which Chambers in January 2021 called a “complete shock” — against Hammer came to light.

Though he had small screen stints on “Arrested Development,” “Desperate Housewives” and recurring roles on “Gossip Girl” and “Reaper,” Hammer really broke through in 2010, with his role as twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in the Oscar-winning Facebook drama, “The Social Network.”

Since then, he’s become most well-known for starring roles in “Call Me By Your Name,” “Free Fire,” “The Lone Ranger,” and most recently, “Death on the Nile.”

What has Hammer been accused of?

The actor has been accused by multiple women of sexual domination and mutilation, including fantasies involving cannibalism. Multiple media outlets in early 2021 published texts reportedly composed by Hammer, that spoke of the sordid alleged desires.

After the allegations surfaced, Hammer quickly found himself ousted from multiple hot projects, including the Jennifer Lopez film, “Shotgun Wedding” and the series, “The Offer,” about the making of “The Godfather.” Even his agency fired him.

His scandalous quotes

As early as 2013, Hammer told Playboy that he had taken his then-wife, also a model, to a “porno store” on their first date.

He also told the magazine that he “used to like to be a dominant lover” but his “sexual appetites” morphed with marital bliss: “I mean that for the better — it’s not like I’m suffering in any way.”
