Clemson Eye, which provides visual health services in the Upstate, has opened a new Eyecare, Surgery, & Aesthetics Center in Seneca at 322 Union Station Drive, or Hwy. 123.

The 21,000-square-foot facility has 19 treatment rooms; a surgical suite for cataract procedures; and a medical aesthetics wing with six treatment rooms for HydraFacials, SkinPen, laser treatments, custom facials, Botox, Dysport, fillers and other procedures.

A retail area offers skincare products, eyeglasses and contact lenses.

Clemson Eye’s goal is to “Make Lives Better with Personalized Eye Care” by offering general eye care, including medical and vision plan eye exams, vision correction, and the treatment of advanced eye disease.

Clemson Eye performs surgery for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, corneal disease, macular degeneration and oculoplastics, as well as vision correction such as LASIK, implantable contact lenses and corneal inlays.

Clemson Eye’s ambulatory surgery center is expected to open in late summer with two procedure rooms for advanced cataract surgery.

The Seneca eyecare team is led by ophthalmologists, Joseph Parisi, M.D., Rebecca Epstein, M.D., and Brian Johnson, M.D., along with optometrists Jordan Carlson, O.D., and Mitch Loftin, O.D. Parisi and Johnson have practiced in Clemson for 20 years.

The medical aesthetics team will consist of Nurse Practitioner, Brenn Gray, and Licensed Aestheticians, Kathy Gray and Corie Crawford.

Clemson Eye Seneca is now accepting new patients.

The organization serves more than 300,000 patients and has been in business for 50 years, with 30 doctors and locations in Anderson, Clemson, Easley, Greenville, Powdersville, Seneca, Simpsonville, Clinton/Laurens, Newberry and Williamston.

TD SYNNEX leaders recognized

Mauldin Cultural Center kicks off Amp’d Up Fridays

The Mauldin Cultural Center will kick off summer with Amp’d Up Fridays, presented by Duke Energy. The concert series runs every Friday night from May 26 through July 28 at the outdoor amphitheater behind the cultural center, 101 E. Butler Road.

The free concerts will feature beach music, classic rock, pop and more, as well as food and beverage vendors. All shows begin at 7 p.m.

“This fresh take on our summer concert series has a little something for everyone,” said Mauldin Cultural Center Manager Christine Faust.

Amp’d Up Fridays (formerly Beachin’ Fridays) launched in 2015.

The lineup includes May 26, The Vinyl Junkies; June 2, The Shag Doctorz; June 9, Rhythm City Band; June 16, The Mighty Kicks!; June 23, The Tams; June 30, The Flashbacks; July 7, The Holiday Band; July 14, The Jamie Wright Band; July 21, The Entertainers; and July 28, The Catalinas.

A variety of food trucks are scheduled, including HipBurger, Nard’s Backyard BBQ, Mac Attack, One Love Fusion Foods, Nuttin’ Butt Chicken, Taco Brothers, Obey the Crave, Kona Ice, Chocolate Artworks and Sunset Slush, along with beer and wine provided by Growler Haus. Guests may not bring food and beverages.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets; leashed dogs are allowed. The concert on July 28 will feature a fireworks display, sponsored by United Community Bank. Details are available on the Mauldin Cultural Center website.

One 5 debuts at Hartness

The One 5 at Hartness opens on May 29 at the Hartness community’s Village Center, near Pelham Road and Woodruff Road.

The restaurant will feature a full bar, hand-crafted cocktails, lunch and dinner. The menu is created by Chef Nelson De Hoyos. The One 5 is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

De Hoyos was formerly the executive chef at Hall's Chophouse.

Weekly specials, plates to share and dinner portions will be available. The One 5 at Hartness is located at 2000 Society St.

The restaurant joins Patterson Kitchen + Bar and The Captain, both located at the Hotel Hartness.

Geno Lozzino and Anmar Natheer teamed with Head Chef Jenn Barone to open the Keepin It Fresh food truck in 2015. They purchased The 05 on Augusta Road in 2018 and are currently opening The 07 on Laurens Road in addition to The One 5 at Hartness.

AnMed unveils Maternity Center

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held May 16 for the AnMed Maternity Center at 800 N. Fant St. in Anderson. AnMed will relocate maternity services to the modern, renovated space on May 24.

Greenwood Capital lauds CPA

Greenwood Capital has recognized Quintin A. Pile for achieving his Certified Public Accountant license. He joins Melissa D. Bane as the second CPA on the Greenwood Capital team.

The CPA license reflects a high level of skill and knowledge in taxation, accounting, and finance. Pile will be able to create integrated tax plans that manage tax liability and align with clients’ financial plans.

Pile joined Greenwood Capital in 2019 and is also a Certified Financial Planner.

Greenwood Capital was founded in 1983. It specializes in investment advisory and management services for individuals and institutions.

Hammond Law hosts Chamber

The Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business After Hours, hosted by Byron Hammond of Hammond Law LLC, from 5 to 7 p.m. May 25 at 7 Ralph Hendricks Drive, Simpsonville.

Hammond has been providing residential and commercial real estate closing services, business formation planning, and estate planning services for 15 years. The firm handles closings on properties in Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, Anderson, Laurens, Greenwood and Spartanburg counties.

The Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce co-hosts Business After Hours with a different chamber member each month.

Modern Healthcare magazine ranked Brasfield & Gorrie as the No. 1 general contractor in healthcare construction, based on volume in 2022. Brasfield & Gorrie has ranked in the survey’s top six general contractors every year for two decades.

Euphoria elects board members

Euphoria, the food, music and wine festival that will take place in Greenville from Sept. 14, has elected board members.

Proceeds from euphoria will fund projects at Greenville Tech Foundation, The Family Effect, Project Host, Walt's Waltz, The Giving Kitchen, Metropolitan Arts Council, and Feed & Seed.
