Do you know a diehard Packers fan? The Packers FAN Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for its 2022 honoree
GREEN BAY - If you or someone you know is that diehard Packers fan, now is the time to let the world know.
Nominations for the Green Bay Packers FAN Hall of Fame will be accepted through Nov. 30. Nominations must include an essay of 500 words or less describing the merits of the nominee and a photo. Self-nominations are accepted.
The Packers FAN Hall of Fame selection committee will choose 10 finalists in December and fans will vote in January for the 24th member of the hall. The winner, chosen by fans, previous winners and the selection committee, will be announced in late February.
More than 71,800 votes from around the world were cast for the 10 finalists in 2021.
Nominations and voting will be online at packers.com/FHOF. Fans without internet access can mail essays, photos and contact information to Green Bay Packers FAN Hall of Fame, 330 E. Kilbourn Ave., Suite 1455, Milwaukee, WI 53202. If mailing an application, submit a copy of a photo to prevent loss of the original.
The honoree will receive four club seats to a 2022 Packers home game, a $500 Packers Shop Shop gift certificate, a road trip for two to a 2022 Packers road game that will include game tickets, air fare and hotel accommodations, and a one-year subscription to the Packer Plus publication. Also, the winner's name will be added to the list of FAN Hall of Fame members on display in the Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame museum in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
Fans can be nominated in successive years. Last year's selection was George Oudhuis of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, who was a finalist three times before his selection to the hall.
