What we know about FarmHouse, the Oklahoma State fraternity where a dead longhorn was found

Police in Oklahoma are investigating after a dead longhorn steer was found outside an Oklahoma State University fraternity.

Graphic photos and videos posted on social media showed the animal outside the FarmHouse Fraternity. They include images that showed its stomach cut open with the words "(expletive) FH" on the animal.

"This is a very unusual situation that's occurred," Stillwater police spokesperson TJ Low told The Oklahoman Friday. "We've never had anything like this within our jurisdiction. It's a very cruel crime to be committed, especially right before the Big 12 Championship. Nothing is worth doing that kind of crap."

Here's what we know about the fraternity and the incident now.

Stillwater Police: Alpha Gamma Rho have 'imperative information' about dead longhorn

Citing preliminary reports, Stillwater Police say another fraternity, Alpha Gamma Rho, have "imperative information about the acquisition, transportation, and dumping of the animal corpse," according to a statement released Sunday.

"The heinous nature of how the animal carcass was disposed is unlawful," the statement read.

The police department says they are working with the university, Oklahoma Agriculture Investigative Services Unit, Noble County Sheriff’s Office, and the OSU Animal Science Department.

The office of the national AGR fraternity, not the individual chapter, released their own statement two days earlier, noting the alleged conduct is "inconsistent with our fraternity's values." The statement continued by noting the organization is cooperating with police and the university.
