First Lady Jill Biden will be in Vermont on Wednesday, April 5.

Her travels take her to stops in Colorado, Michigan, Maine, and Vermont as part of the Biden-Harris Administration's Investing in America Tour. Biden is expected to talk about how her husband, President Joe Biden's, economic policies benefit working Americans.

Before making her way to Vermont in the afternoon, Biden's plans are to speak at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland in the morning.

Jill Biden is not the first first lady to make it to the Green Mountain State. She is in the company of some recent and historical first ladies who have visited or had ties to Vermont.

What Jill Biden will be talking about

A community college professor with a doctorate in educational leadership, First Lady Biden is expected to speak on topics aligning with her personal and professional interests. She and Cordona plan to present how investing in career-connected learning and workforce training programs at the high school and community college level can shore up the workforce through creating high paying jobs in emerging industries. This is one of the initiatives central to the Biden Education Pathway.

BETA was chosen as a host for its role creating jobs in the electric aerospace and clean energy industries. Speakers are also expected to talk about the investment of federal and state funds into career and technical programs focused on electric vehicles.
