Grosjean suffered severe hand burns in his final Formula 1 race in 2020, prompting thoughts of retirement before joining Michael Andretti's IndyCar Series team.

Grosjean drove for the Haas team from 2016-20 but has said he wouldn't have returned to F1 in '22 if asked. The Mercedes team has said it wants to give Grosjean a test this year.
