Some of the best golfers in the world are teeing off in Fort Worth next week.
The PGA Tour is stopping in Cowtown next week for the Charles Schwab Challenge at the Colonial Country Club. The action gets underway from May 22 to 28.
Since 1946, the Colonial Country Club has hosted the annual PGA Tour tournament in Fort Worth. Until 2019, the tournament was called the Colonial National Invitational.
Golf fans can expect a week full of events, including the tournament which starts on May 25. The Charles Schwab Challenge is a major stop on the PGA Tour with $8.7 million in prize money.
Here’s everything you need to know — from tickets, parking to food — about the tournament in Fort Worth:

A week full of events kick off Monday and lasts until the weekend.
May 22, Monday: Ben Hogan pro-am for players and guests only. Not open to the public.
May 23, Tuesday: Executive Women’s Day with former professional golfer Annika Sörenstam. Not open to the public.
May 24, Wednesday: Colonial pro-am for players and guests. Open to the public.
May 25, Thursday: First round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Open to the public.
May 26, Friday: Second round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Open to the public.
May 27, Saturday: Third round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Open to the public.
May 28, Sunday: Final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Open to the public.
Gates for the Colonial Country Club open at 6 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Are tickets still available for the Charles Schwab Challenge?
Yes, tickets are still available for every public event.
Tickets for the Colonial pro-am start at $55 a piece. A $55 ticket is also available for the final round on Sunday. However, if you want to attend rounds one through three, it’s a different ticket.
A $94 “any one day grounds ticket” can be used for one day between Wednesday and Sunday. This means if you want to attend rounds on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, the $94 ticket is what you will purchase. If you want to attend rounds on both Friday and Saturday, you would need to purchase two $94 tickets.
But if Wednesday and Sunday are the only days you plan to attend, stick with the cheaper $55 ticket. VIP tickets are also available for Thursday through Sunday and start at $325 and up.
Is parking included in the golf tournament ticket?
No, parking is its own separate expense.
There are three tiers available for parking at the Colonial Country Club:
Rockwood Lane parking ($25) at 1522 Rockwood Lane — Park your car in the parking lot and get shuttled to the Rogers Road entrance.
Silver parking ($50/$75) at 3571 Bellaire Dr. N — Park your car in a covered garage then be shuttled to the Colonial Poolside Plaza entrance.
Gold valet parking ($150) at 3735 Country Club Circle — Drive to the front door of the Colonial Country Club.
Parking passes are only good for the day they’re purchased. To purchase parking, visit here.
The Rockwood Lane and Silver parking passes are digital only, while the Gold valet is a physical tag that will be mailed to you upon purchase.
What’s on the menu at Colonial Country Club?
The Colonial has a plethora of options to keep you fueled and hydrated while watching the world’s best golfers.
On-course concessions for breakfast include brisket, egg and cheese tacos. Lunch could be a grilled sirloin burger, pulled pork sandwich, hot dog, crispy chicken sandwich, turkey burger and more. For drinks — there’s beer, wine, soda and cocktails.
VIP guests with village tickets can chow down on daily specials from baby back ribs and enchiladas, to pizza and steak. The open bar at the village operates from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily as well.
The “food truck fairway” is a chance to taste food from local Fort Worth restaurants such as Heim Barbecue, Salsa Limon, Buffalo Bros, Melt Ice Creams and Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs. The food trucks are located at hole four and open Thursday through Sunday.
What top pros are competing in the Charles Schwab Challenge?
Over 100 PGA Tour golfers will compete in Fort Worth next week.
Only two of the top 10 golfers in the world are making the Texas trip, including North Texas’ own Jordan Spieth. The Dallas-born and tenth-ranked golfer in the world, has played in but never won the Fort Worth tournament.
The other top 10 golfer playing in the tournament is Scottie Scheffler, the current number two. A full list of the tournament field can be found here.
