Mar. 27—Wilson

Coach: Ryan Sheaffer, second season (also coached two seasons at Gov. Mifflin).

PIAA classification: 3A.

Last season: 9-0 BCIAA, 17-5; Berks champion, District 3 Class 3A quarterfinalist.

Top players: All-division defender Wes Prentiss, midfielder Brady Rigdon, attack Seamus Breslin, attack Cohen Renninger, attack Bryce Keiser, midfielder Ben Rada, defender Eddie Case, midfielder Eric Becker, attack Carter Brensinger.

Outlook: With a wealth of talent, the Bulldogs look to win their 11th straight county title and make deep runs in the district and state playoffs.

Gov. Mifflin

Coach: Jacob Snyder, second season (also coached five seasons at Daniel Boone).

PIAA classification: 3A.

Last season: 8-1 BCIAA, 12-6; District 3 Class 3A qualifier.

Top players: All-Berks midfielder Drew Mathieu, all-division defender Brandon Jones, all-division defender Jackson Schools, attack Jude Enriquez, midfielder Clayton Reynolds.

Outlook: Despite losing several strong seniors to graduation, the Mustangs expect to contend for the county championship.

Exeter

Coach: Derek Stump, first season.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Last season: 7-2 BCIAA, 10-10; Berks runner-up.

Top players: All-Berks attack Ty Yonas, all-division midfielder Richie Karstien, all-division defender Miles Brant, faceoff specialist Brayden Rompella, midfielder Ashton Warchol, defender Sean Smith, attack Aiden Boehm, goaltender Dylan Robinson.

Outlook: With a talented roster, the Eagles look to contend for the county title and qualify for the district playoffs.

Wyomissing

Coach: Bern Donahue, fifth season.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Last season: 4-5 BCIAA, 8-9; District 3 Class 2A qualifier.

Top players: All-division attack Chase Maggs, midfielder Logan Hyde, midfielder Ben Zechman, goaltender Keaton Piacine.

Outlook: Coming off one of the best seasons in program history, the Spartans return nine starters and will look to qualify for the county and district playoffs.

Schuylkill Valley

Coach: Josh Pokrywa, fourth season.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Last season: 5-4 BCIAA, 9-6; District 3 Class 2A qualifier.

Top players: All-division attack Zack Moats, all-division attack Kyle Moats, goaltender Jacob Miller, attack Caden Ryan, midfielder Lex Crespo.

Outlook: With a young team, the Panthers look to build off last season.

Berks Catholic

Coach: John Verno, first season (also coached three seasons at Twin Valley, five seasons at Gov. Mifflin and five seasons at Conrad Weiser).

PIAA classification: 2A.

Last season: 6-3 BCIAA, 11-9; District 3 Class 2A quarterfinalist.

Top players: Not reported.

Outlook: The Saints look to qualify for the postseason again this year.

Twin Valley

Coach: Decker Doupe, first season (also coached two seasons at Ephrata).

PIAA classification: 2A.

Last season: 3-6 BCIAA, 5-11.

Top players: All-division defender Justin Pinciotti, goaltender Dylan Corros, defender Danny Brighter, attack Danny Murphy.

Outlook: With just two seniors and a new coach, the Raiders look to rebuild in 2023.

Daniel Boone

Coach: Andy Wagner, second season (also coached nine seasons at Perkiomen Valley).

Last season: 1-8 BCIAA, 3-12.

Outlook: The Blazers look to be competitive within the county.

Muhlenberg

Coach: Matt DeAngelis, seventh year.

Top players: Attack/midfielder Riley Usner, goaltender Mason Lanning, faceoff specialist Nino Maurer, defender Wes Clemison, attack Logan Kimma, defender Landen Hare.

Conrad Weiser
