Conrad Weiser

Coach: Ryan Knarr, eighth season.

Last season: 6-2 Berks I, 15-5; District 3 Class 2A runner-up, PIAA Class 2A qualifier.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Players to watch: All-Berks Armaan Malik, Eric Yazemboski, Jiovany Garcia, Colin Clabaugh, Reed Kopcik, Adam Noll, Aaron Pearson

Outlook: Weiser has all its players returning for 2022, will be in the Berks title hunt.

Wilson

Coach: Todd Gensemer, third season.

Last season: 7-1 Berks I, 9-6.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: Ben Winkler, Phil Bornais, Austin Kohler, Jason Kaufmann, Jay Khamar, Amish Jindal, Gavin Siravo, Griffin Saar.

Outlook: A deep team looking to have success in the postseason.

Exeter

Coach: Michael Herman, 10th season.

Last season: 4-4 Berks I, 7-7.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: Berks Player of the Year Teddy Snyder, Jake Tryanski.

Outlook: Looking to challenge for the county championship.

Daniel Boone

Coach: Ryan Burke, fourth season.

Last season: 5-3 Berks I, 13-4.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: All-Berks Sam Shank, all-division Evan Miller, Owen Blume.

Outlook: The Blazers are coming off a season in which they broke a program record for wins in a season (13). Looking to earn the school's first Berks playoff berth.

Twin Valley

Coach: Joe Alessandrini, eighth season.

Last season: 8-0 Berks I, 13-1; Berks champion, District 3 Class 3A qualifier.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Player to watch: All-Berks Dylan Bonds.

Outlook: After losing seven seniors to graduation, Twin Valley looks to rebuild. Looking for Dylan Bonds to make a strong run for the county championship and into districts and states.

Reading High

Coach: Mike Fisher, third season.

Last season: 3-5 Berks I, 5-7.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: All-Berks Zach Schrader, Joel Rodriguez, Dylan Dunkelberger.

Outlook: The Red Knights will be looking to be competitive with the county's top teams.

Gov. Mifflin

Coach: Darren Kostival, ninth season.

Last season: 2-6 Berks I, 3-12.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: Gio LaLuna, Clayton Hickey, Tiberiu Danciu, Mattie Little, Jay Schoenen.

Outlook: The Mustangs are a senior-led team looking to be competitive.

Fleetwood

Coach: Joseph Eways, third season.

Last season: 1-7 Berks I, 3-10.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Players to watch: All-Berks Kyle Sonon, Zack Fry, Ruohan Chen, Kam Geiger, Noah Stern.

Outlook: Fleetwood has its entire team back plus another new 8 players. We expect to be much improved.

Muhlenberg

Coach: Steve Simons, 26th season.

Last season: 0-8 Berks I, 1-10.

PIAA classification: 3A.

Players to watch: Angel Peralta, Yensi Lopez, Jayden Popo.

Outlook: Looking to improve.

Berks II

Wyomissing

Coach: Mike Gyomber, 33rd season.

Last season: 7-0 Berks II, 10-2; District 3 Class 2A qualifier.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Players to watch: Truman Peters, Aaron Andrews, Noah Gibney, Max Herr.

Outlook: A very young team, but program has a history of success.

Berks Catholic

Coach: Lauren Urban, seventh season.

Last season: 5-2 Berks II, 8-5.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Players to watch: Christopher Chan, Alexandru Avram, Jack Krajsa.

Outlook: The Saints return last year's lineup and are hoping to contend for a spot in the Berks playoffs.

Kutztown

Coach: Louann Reppert, seventh season.

Last season: 5-2 Berks II, 7-5.

PIAA classification: 2A.

Players to watch: All-division Blake Nolte, Otis Engel.

Outlook: Have five returning starters and could contend for a Berks playoff berth.

Hamburg

Coach: Leon "Bud" Bucheit, 16th season.

Last season: 5-2 Berks II, 6-5.

PIAA classification: 2A

Outlook: Middle of the pack.

Brandywine Heights

Coach: Bryan Rothermel, fifth season.

Tulpehocken

Antietam
