Knox College selects male and female nominees for Midwest Conference Athlete of the Year

GALESBURG — Knox College has selected its male and female sports nominees for Midwest Conference Athlete of the Year.

The Prairie Fire nominees are Lydia Mitchell, women’s soccer and track & field, and Charles Broomfield, men’s indoor and outdoor track & field. Both nominees are exceptional students and athletes.

Nominations for women's sports participants also double as NCAA Woman of the Year nominations. The selection committees review and consider achievements, honors, and special recognitions throughout the nominee’s time as a student-athlete, and nominees must be graduating seniors.

Below are a few accolades for these scholar-athletes.
