Knoxville-area Hardee's, UT partner to offer limited-time Vols football cheeseburger

UT Vols fans have just two games left in the season to cheer on their team, with matchups against Georgia and Vanderbilt on Nov. 18 and Nov. 25.

Depending on the outcome, the Big Orange faithful will either want to celebrate or eat their feelings. And Hardee's might be the right place, thanks to a partnership it has just announced with the University of Tennessee.

All Hardee's restaurants in the Knoxville area are partnering with UT for a limited time to offer a Volunteer Grilled Cheeseburger, a press release from the Franklin-based chain stated.

The Volunteer cheeseburger features a charbroiled beef patty topped with melted American cheese and melted Swiss cheese, served on toasted sourdough; the specialty burger is also available as a double with three pieces of melted American cheese and three pieces of melted Swiss cheese.

“For Vols fans, gathering with friends and family to cheer on their favorite team is a time-honored ritual,” said Regina Schneider, senior vice president of brand marketing for Hardee's. “You can never go wrong with college football and a classic burger!”

Guests can enjoy the Volunteer Burger through Jan. 2.
