Kodak Black Ordered To Pay $90,000 in Concert Promoter Legal Battle
Rapper Kodak Black has been ordered to cough up $91,000 to a concert promoter, all while he’s still locked up.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, an Arizona judge granted a default judgment against Kodak (real name: Dieuson Octave) in the amount of $91,095.05.
The money was awarded to a concert promoter named Nicholas Fitts.

Earlier this year, Fitts sued the rapper accusing him of blowing off multiple concerts despite having a signed deal.
The suit claims Kodak was contractually bound to perform on March 3, 2017 in New York, but he never showed up. The rapper then agreed to do a “makeup date” in April 2017 but didn’t show up AGAIN.
Fitts says he reluctantly agreed to give him another shot and scheduled a third show but Kodak once again blew it off.
He sued seeking for in excess of $500,000 in damages.
Fitts was able to serve the rapper while he was locked up in FDC Miami, the federal prison facility where he is still located.
Kodak blew off the case and never bothered to respond to the allegations.
The rapper probably didn’t respond because he has bigger issues to deal with. He’s still behind bars in FDC Miami after not being granted bond.
Kodak was arrested at Rolling Loud Music Festival by local police and agents from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Marshals.
He was also indicted by a grand jury for trying to illegally purchase firearms and is facing 10 years in prison.
