Korean American soloist Eric Nam to make acting debut in psychological thriller ‘Transplant’
Korean American soloist Eric Nam will soon add actor to his resume with his acting debut in the psychological thriller “Transplant.”
Per an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter, Nam will star as Jonah Yoon, a skilled surgical resident at a renowned hospital under the mentorship of Dr. Edward Harmon, a master heart plant surgeon and obsessive perfectionist. Harmon will be played by actor Bill Camp, best known for his roles in films such as "Joker" and TV series such as Netflix’s “The Queen’s Gambit.” Actors Michelle Okkyung Lee, April Grace and Adam Arkin will round out the cast.
Nam wrote in a tweet on Tuesday that he is thrilled to “make my acting debut as Jonah Yoon in ‘Transplant’ alongside some incredible actors and creatives.” He also thanked his fans for their patience and understanding since he rescheduled his tour dates to partake in the project.

Nam's upcoming film is directed by Jason Park and co-written by Park and David J. Lee. It is produced by Significant Productions, which is co-owned by actor Forest Whitaker and producer Nina Yang Bongiovi.

Endeavor Content, one of the film’s distributors, released a statement from Dan Guando, its senior vice president of film development and production, saying, “With Jason’s skilled and deeply personal storytelling, Eric and Bill’s brilliance and Nina and Forest’s vision and passion, working on Transplant has been a complete labor of love. We are ecstatic to have all of these amazing voices collaborating on this wonderful film.”
The film has reportedly finished production, but it has yet to receive a release date.
Nam, who is currently on his “There and Back Again” world tour, has sold out 47 North American and Europe shows so far. His tour is named after the album he released back in January, which was led by the title track “Lost On Me.”

In other Eric Nam-related news, Dive Studios, the company he co-founded with his brothers Brian and Eddie, announced the Season 3 return of their podcast and YouTube series “Get Real.” It will be co-hosted by K-pop idols JUNNY, LADIES’ CODE’s Ashley Choi and BTOB’s Peniel.
