Kourtney Kardashian makes spanking position clear: 'In no way is physical harm OK'
Kourtney Kardashian and her ex Scott Disick will not spank their children.
The 40-year-old reality star defended their parenting decision on Twitter during Sunday's episode of "Keeping up With the Kardashians."
In one scene, Disick engaged in an explosive shout down with Kris Jenner's boyfriend, Corey Gamble, over the couple's 7-year-old daughter, Penelope. Penelope allegedly scratched her nanny.
"If P scratch me, I'm whipping her (expletive)," Gamble said at a dinner that included Kardashian, Jenner and Disick.
The fight escalated, and Disick told Gamble, "Don't ever talk about a child like that!"
As Kardashian rewatched the episode, she tweeted several responses addressing childhood hitting. Someone tweeted that her children need "more discipline then you are giving them."
"And we have addressed that, but in no way is physical harm OK," she tweeted.
Another parent tweeted Kardashian needs to get her kids "in check now" and "take it serious now."
Kardashian responded, "And in my opinion beating children is not the way to 'get your kids in check.' "
And in my opinion beating children is not the way to “get your kids in check”. When children are hurting or frustrated, the answer is not to physically hurt them. #KUWTK https://t.co/sPTc1ljpMU

Another person tweeted that children "don't usually only listen to words they listen to actions."
Kardashian, who also shares Mason, 9 and Reign, 4, with Disick, said being a parent isn't always easy, but there are consequences that don't involve physical harm.
"So you think physical harm is the only action? That's sad," she tweeted.
So you think physical harm is the only action? That’s sad. Of course there are many consequences which we dealt with, I am very proud of my kids and being a parent isn’t always easy, but we do have consequences that don’t involve physical harm. #KUWTK https://t.co/s9PDSTHhdm

Kardashian said she was "confused" and "shocked" by other parents' responses.
She did garner support from other parents, who said she should parent her way.

"I was hit as a kid it only made me rebel and be more disrespectful!! Doesn't always work :)," one person wrote.
"Completely agree," Kardashian responded.
