Kramatorsk under Russian attack

Russian occupiers attacked the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast late in the evening on 2 January, and the authorities are urging residents to stay in shelters.

Details: UP sources have reported Russian strikes in Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka, Donetsk Oblast.

The air-raid siren in the country continues to sound in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts and Crimea.

Three strikes have been reported in Druzhkivka. One of the Russian strikes hit an ice rink, and one more hit a suburban area.

Updated at 01:40. Emergency power outages have been implemented in the suburban area of the city of Kramatorsk, as reported by Kramatorsk City Council on Telegram.

The City Council noted that work to restore electricity in the city will be started after the end of the curfew.

Updated at 02:00. The attack on Kramatorsk Raion was filmed and broadcast by the French TV channel TMC.

The explosion went off not far from the correspondent while he was talking to the programme’s host.
