Krispy Kreme Is Celebrating Its 83rd Birthday by Giving Away Free Boxes of Glazed Donuts
Leave it to Krispy Kreme to give its customers a gift on its birthday. In celebration of its 83rd birthday, you’ll have the opportunity to get a box of one dozen Original Glazed donuts for free.
Here’s the deal — you will receive one free Original Glazed dozen with the purchase of any dozen at participating U.S. shops on July 17. So you’ll probably want to fill the first box with your non-glazed favorites, like the Chocolate Iced Glazed with Sprinkles, Cake Batter, and Glazed Raspberry Filled.
“After 83 years, we’re still hot … and fresh … and delicious,” Dave Skena, chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “On our birthday, Krispy Kreme fans get the gifts.”
In addition to the free dozen, Krispy Kreme is also extending its Hot Light hours. Every shop has a Hot Light signal that lights up when a fresh batch of donuts comes out of the oven, so you’ll know when you can get a warm one. Those hours are usually early in the morning, and sometimes also at night. However, for its 83rd birthday, Krispy Kreme is running the Hot Light day and night, so you’re pretty much guaranteed a fresh batch on July 17.
Now, you might be thinking, what will you do with 24 warm, delicious donuts? Well, all we can say about that is to pace yourself so you don’t get a stomachache.
