Krispy Kreme to offer free doughnuts on National Doughnut Day. Here’s how to get one
Krispy Kreme will treat fans to a sweet deal in celebration of National Doughnut Day on Friday, June 3.
Customers can enjoy a free doughnut of their choice at participating shops nationwide, no purchase necessary, the company announced in a news release. Starting June 8, fans can also snag a free original glazed doughnut anytime the Hot Light is on — every day through Labor Day.
If you plan to share with friends, an original glazed dozen is $1 with the purchase of any dozen doughnuts.
The doughnut chain’s “Beat the Pump” promotion is also set to return, offering fans a discounted dozen of its classic doughnuts as motorists continue to face high gas prices. Each Wednesday, Krispy Kreme will drop the price of its original glazed dozen to match the national price per gallon of gas at the start of the week.
The deal will run June 8 through Aug. 31, according to the release.
“We love our tradition of giving fans any doughnut they want on National Doughnut Day,” Dave Skena, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme, said in a statement. “But with inflation on gas prices and everything else showing no signs of easing, we hope to brighten everyone’s day, every day, this summer.”
The national average for a gallon of regular gas reached $4.62 on Tuesday, May 31, according to AAA.
Rival chain Dunkin’ is also celebrating National Doughnut Day, offering fans a free classic doughnut with the purchase of any beverage.
