Two months after The Crown's fourth season, our first look at another major Princess Diana portrayal has arrived.

The first photo of Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana in the upcoming film Spencer was revealed on Wednesday. The movie takes place around one Christmas and follows Diana when she "decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn't working, and that she needed to veer from a path that put her in line to one day be queen," as Deadline previously reported.

Pablo Larraín, who directed Natalie Portman in the Oscar-nominated Jackie Kennedy film Jackie, is directing Spencer, while Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight wrote the screenplay.

"Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life," Stewart says, per Variety. "It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name: Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her."

Recently, Lady Diana was portrayed by Emma Corrin on the fourth season of Netflix's The Crown. Check out the first look at Stewart's version, complete with that perfect side-eye, below. The film is expected to debut this fall.
