KRQE Cares hosting Shoes for Kids phone bank

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – KRQE Cares is holding a phone bank on Thursday, April 11 from 4 – 7 p.m. KRQE Cares has a mission to positively impact children in low-income families throughout the state of New Mexico.

Shoes for Kids is the largest KRQE Cares initiative, which helps children in Title I receive a new pair of shoes. Along with a new pair of shoes, children are provided with a snack, book, dental supplies and socks. KRQE’s community relations director Carolyn Rush says the program has even reached kids outside of Albuquerque, including Moriarty, Bernalillo, Rio Rancho, Jemez Pueblo and will be in Los Lunas next month.
