An air raid alert was declared in several Ukrainian oblasts on the night of Feb. 1-2 due to a Russian attack, with NV closely monitoring the aftermath.

Russia has carried out a massive drone strike on southern and central Ukrainian oblasts.

9:20 a.m.

Russian drones targeted an infrastructure facility in Kirovohrad Oblast, said Natalia Humenyuk, the Southern Defense Forces spokesperson, on national television.

“The fire that broke out has already been put out,” she said.

“There are no casualties — that's the most important thing. It is clear that the enemy is attacking those regions that can support the frontline territories."

Two drones were shot down in Kherson and three in Kirovohrad oblasts. Humenyuk emphasized the powerful and prolonged work of the air defense.

“This is again an attempt to exhaust of our systems,” she said.

“The drones maneuvered for almost 6 hours."

9:10 a.m.

Ukraine’s Air Force in cooperation with the Air Defense shot down 11 out of 24 drones overnight, with seven more not reaching their targets.

The attack, originating from Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia) and Cape Chauda (Crimea, Ukraine), targeted critical infrastructure facilities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The drones were destroyed in Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Kirovohrad, and Kharkiv oblasts.

8:00 a.m.

Part of Kryvyi Rih experienced a power outage due to a Russian Shahed attack targeting critical infrastructure. Approximately 100,000 consumers were affected, including hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and transportation systems. Oleksandr Vilkul, the city’s Defense Council Head, reported that electricity supply was restored to 60,000 subscribers, with hospitals, boilers, trolleybuses, and trams resuming operation. However, the high-speed tram remained non-operational.

7:00 a.m.

Restoration efforts continued, with 113 miners initially blocked at two mines. A rescue operation was organized, and 19 miners are still awaiting evacuation in one mine.

Work on restoring the power supply is ongoing.

7:18 a.m.

Kryvyi Rih experienced a power outage as Russian Shahed drones damaged a Ukrenergo electricity transmission system operator substation. Domestic and industrial consumers are without electricity. Ukrenergo and State Emergency Service specialists are assessing the damage, and emergency recovery work will commence after the inspection.

4:41 a.m.

Air Force declared the end of the drone threat alert

4:19 a.m.

A massive Russian drone attack on Kirovohrad Oblast and neighboring areas, reported Andriy Raikovych, the head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration.

"Air defense worked in the city of Kropyvnytskyi and Kropyvnytskyi district," he wrote, adding that there are currently no casualties.

3:51 a.m.

A Russian drone was identified in the Kryvyi Rih area, the Air Force said.

3:05 a.m.

The Air Force reported that drones in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast were moving in a northeastern direction. Drones on the border of Mykolaiv and Kherson Oblasts are heading northeast.

3:01 a.m.

A drone in Kharkiv Oblast was moving north, the Air Force said, and a group in Kirovohrad Oblast was moving east.

Explosions were heard in Kropyvnytskyi and Kryvyi Rih, reported RBC-Ukraine.

2:26 a.m.

The Air Force reported on Shahed movement:

●     Donetsk Oblast: Eastward

●     Border of Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts: Towards Donetsk Oblast, heading southeast

●     Kirovohrad Oblast: Heading for Kremenchuk

●     Mykolaiv Oblast (from Kherson Oblast): Northwest

●     Mykolaiv Oblast: North

●     Border of Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts (from the Black Sea): Northeast

1:53 a.m.

The Air Force reported another group of drones heading from Kherson Oblast to Mykolaiv Oblast, heading northwest. Drone threat to Donetsk Oblast.

1:09 a.m.

The Air Force warned of the drone threat to Kharkiv Oblast.

12:39 a.m.

Several more groups of drones from the south are entering Mykolaiv Oblast, heading north and northeast, the Air Force warned.

12:13 a.m.

The Air Force reported on Shahed movement:

●     From Kirovohrad Oblast to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (heading east);

●     From Mykolaiv Oblast to Kirovohrad Oblast (heading north);

●     From the Mykolaiv Oblast to Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (heading northeast).

There is also activity of Russia’s tactical aviation in the Sea of Azov, raising the threat of the use of aviation weapons.

11:25 p.m.

The Air Force reported drones on the border of Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad oblasts, moving north.

A group of drones was in Kirovohrad Oblast, with the second heading north from Mykolaiv Oblast, said the monitoring channel Why the Alert.
