Youtube star KSI has urged his fans to stop buying his Prime drinks at inflated prices.

The rapper, gamer and boxer launched his own drinks brand last year, on sale at around £2 a bottle in Asda, Aldi and Spar stores. But it is so difficult to get hold of that fans have launched a dedicated tracker app to find out where it is in stock.

An off-licence in Wakefield has been claiming to sell Prime for £100 a can and sharing promotional videos on social media of customers travelling miles to purchase the drinks from their shop.

KSI commented on a video of a woman who had apparently paid £1,200 for a pack of 12 Prime cans saying "Oh my God, no!"

The influencer added: "Stop buying it at these prices."

Prime is advertised as a "hydration drink" and is mainly flavoured coconut water with added vitamins. It comes in seven flavours including orange, grape and raspberry.

KSI – real name is Olajide 'JJ' Olatunji – created the brand with fellow YouTuber Logan Paul and it launched in Asda supermarkets in October 2022 before it began selling in Asda in December 2022.

A pack of 12 bottles is £24.99 on its official website but is completely sold out.

Twitter account and app Prime Tracker UK informs fans which stores have been reported to have the drink in stock each day, although the map of the UK is predominantly shown as red, for unavailable.

KSI recently spoke out against supermarkets raising the price due to high demand.

He told Capital Radio's Roman Kemp: "I don't like the reselling. I hate the reselling. And so like, even when Asda tried to up their price to £2.50…

"I was tweeting them like 'nah, nah, nah, nah, this is out of order, this isn't Prime doing this, this is Asda' and instantly they brought it back down to £2. It was crazy man."

KSI rose to fame through his YouTube videos and then started to release music. His singles include Really Love and Don’t Play, and he unveiled his debut studio album Dissimulation last year.

In 2021 he apologised for his past use of a transphobic slur. He quit Twitter at the time but has now returned to the social media platform.

He also apologised in 2017 for sexual harassment after an old video resurfaced of him making sexist and misogynistic comments to women at the 2012 Eurogamer Expo.
