KSLL honors top players from Louisville area, including Mr. and Ms. Lacrosse

South Oldham High School’s Evan Mason and Sacred Heart’s Mia Frederick have been named Mr. and Ms. Lacrosse by the Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League.

Mason, a junior, took Mr. Lacrosse honors after posting 85 goals and 46 assists this season. The Dragons went 15-3 and reached the KSLL state semifinals before falling to eventual champion St. Xavier.

Frederick, a senior, was named Ms. Lacrosse after tallying 54 goals and 24 assists. The Valkyries went 19-6 and reached the KSLL state final before falling to Kentucky Country Day.

Coach Dennis Truman said Frederick is planning to play club lacrosse at the University of Kentucky.

The KSLL also released its All-State teams. Here are the first-team selections:

Boys

Attack – Trevor Havill (St. Xavier), Evan Mason (South Oldham), Henry Mercer (St. Xavier), Tate Watts (Eastern), Andrew Welch (Trinity).

Defense – Matthew Donhoff (St. Xavier), Ben Marks (St. Xavier), Liam Murray (Trinity), Kaden Wilson (South Oldham).
