KU fans living in the Wichita area will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the Kansas alumni team, Mass Street, playing in The Basketball Tournament at Koch Arena this week.

The first opportunity comes Tuesday when fans can purchase $20 tickets from MassStrategies.com to watch the team practice from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Trinity Academy gymnasium.

The team is littered with past Jayhawk stars from the last two decades, starting with Markieff and Marcus Morris, the twins who will be coaching the squad. The roster includes Keith Langford (2001-05), Mario Chalmers (2005-08), Brandon Rush (2005-08), Mario Little (2008-11), Tyshawn Taylor (2008-12), Thomas Robinson (2009-12), Kevin Young (2010-13), Jamari Traylor (2012-16), Lagerald Vick (2015-19), Dedric Lawson (2017-19) and Mitch Lightfoot (2016-22).

Mass Street is scheduled to play its TBT opener at Koch Arena at 8 p.m. Wednesday against No. 8 seed We Are D3 with the game available on streaming on ESPN+.

The highlight of the week will be a “Hang with the Hawks” event on Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Apex Outdoors, a private event space that will host dinner and drinks with the team. Cost of the event is $250 and with space being extremely limited, interested parties must RSVP in advance to info@MassStrategies.com and walk-up purchases will not be accepted.

A final meet-and-greet event, this one costing $20, comes Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at Chicken-N-Pickle.

If the team wins its opening game, the KU alumni squad would face the winner between Show Me Squad (Missouri alumni) and Vegas Rebellion (UNLV alumni) at 3 p.m. Saturday at Koch Arena. The regional championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday.

All-session and single-session tickets to TBT games at Koch Arena are being sold through the Wichita State ticket office and are available online at goshockers.com.
