Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, James Acaster and Emily Alyn Lind have been added to the cast of Sony Pictures' live-action sequel to “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.”

According to Deadline, the film, directed by Gil Kenan, will see the return of Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon from “Ghostbusters: Afterlife," with the setting shifting back to New York City and the firehouse from the original 1980s “Ghostbusters” films.

Nanjiani most recently starred in the Disney+ "Star Wars" prequel series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” opposite Ewan McGregor, Marvel's Chloé Zhao-led film “Eternals” and Hulu's “Welcome to Chippendales.”

The Pakistani American actor and comedian is set to star in and produce FX's “Homeland Elegies,” adapted from Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ayad Akhtar’s novel of the same name. He will also team up with his spouse Emily V. Gordon to write the feature adaptation of Edward Gorey's illustrated short story “The Doubtful Guest,” in which he will also star.
