Kurt Warner watches son Kade Warner play for Kansas State football in the 2022 Texas Bowl

NFL Hall of Famer Kurt Warner has never attended a college bowl game before.

So it makes sense that on Tuesday, Warner's first bowl-game experience came when he traveled to Houston, Texas, to watch his son Kade Warner play in the 2022 Texas Bowl.

And Kade Warner, a senior Kansas State wide receiver, made his impact known early in the contest, catching a pass and racing 25 yards.

Heading into Tuesday's matchup against LSU, Warner had 11 receptions for 124 yards (11.3 yards per catch. His 11 catches rank sixth on the Wildcat team.)

Kurt Warner was delighted to see his son play in-person on Tuesday.

"Excited to be experiencing my 1st Bowl Game ever (ok outside the #SuperBowl)," he tweeted on Tuesday night, "Thank you @KadeWarner @KStateFB - now let's finish the season off right!"

Kade Warner's biggest reception — that 25-yard catch-and-run — came midway through the second quarter and featured a slight hesitation step to throw off his LSU defenders.

Warner spent the first three seasons of his college football career in Lincoln, playing for Nebraska. Appearing in 16 games over that span for the Huskers, Warner totaled 30 receptions for 236 yards.
