Young man in Kyiv Oblast brings hand grenade home and nearly dies

A 21-year-old man who found a grenade and brought it home lost his arm when the device exploded.

Quote from Niebytov: "He found a grenade, took it home, and was nearly killed. An explosion just tore off the left arm of a 21-year-old man in the Fastiv district. His mother heard the grenade go off and came into the room to see her son covered in blood and all the furniture damaged."

 

Details: Niebytov said police officers had found a pin at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.

 

Niebytov also highlighted that carelessness with explosives can cost lives, and urged citizens who find any suspicious items to notify law enforcement agencies immediately.
