Kyiv Region: Bodies of men with signs of torture found in Kalynivka grave

Bodies of 2 men with signs of torture were found buried in the village of Kalynivka, Makariv municipal territorial community [hromada] of the Bucha District of Kyiv Region.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office: "An unauthorised burial of 2 men with signs of torture was discovered during an investigation in the village of Kalynivka, Makariv municipal territorial community.

According to preliminary information, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces first tortured and then killed 2 civilians during their occupation of the village. The hands of the victims had their nails torn and were tied behind their backs, and had gunshot wounds on their bodies."

Details: Under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, criminal proceedings are being investigated for violating the laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Earlier: On 29 April, a pit with the bodies of 3 men who were tortured by Russian soldiers and then brutally killed was found in the Bucha District.

As of 2 May, law enforcement officers have already discovered 1,202 bodies of Ukrainian citizens who died at the hands of the Russian occupiers in the Kyiv Region. Police have received inquiries about 300 missing people.
