Guard KyKy Tandy tweeted Monday night that he'll play for the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks in Jacksonville, Alabama, after playing the past four seasons for the Xavier Musketeers.

Tandy was one of several XU players to enter the transfer portal after the Muskies' season ended with an NCAA tournament Sweet 16 appearance. Junior guard Colby Jones declared last week for the 2023 NBA draft.

Tandy, from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, averaged 2.2 points per game in 22 games this past season, including six starts.

After his first season at Xavier, Tandy was named to the Big East Conference All-Freshman team. Tandy entered the transfer portal after his sophomore season, but changed his mind and returned to the Muskies. Tandy's third season at XU was cut short after just five games because of a season-ending stress fracture in his leg.

Jacksonville State finished last season 13-18, and 6-12 in the ASUN Conference. Kennesaw State, which earned the ASUN's automatic bid to the NCAA tourney, had a double-digit lead against XU in the second half of their first-round game in the Big Dance before the Muskies rallied to advance.
