Kyle Mullin is providing Rutgers with a steady presence in net

So far this season, the Scarlet Knights have gotten multiple contributions in net. During their 7-2 start, three players have seen at least one minute in net, including Kyle Mullin, Liam Gray, and Anthony Palma. However, nobody has had a greater impact than Mullin, who has gotten the most playing time.

Mullin has been stellar in net in nine starts with a 7-2 record. The West Chester native has made 102 stops and allowed 83 goals. In his first season at Rutgers, he has quickly taken over the starting job with no signs of giving it up.

Additionally, Rutgers has gone undefeated at home with the Bayard Rustin High School product in net. After entering the season with high expectations, he is making a great first impression. Mullin was named one of the Top Transfers to watch by Inside Lacrosse. Prior to Rutgers, he spent four seasons at the University of Harvard.

As the regular season continues, Mullin is expected to get the bulk of the playing time in net. So far this season, he has gotten 527 minutes of playing time, while Gray and Palma have combined for 18 minutes. The durability that Mullin has shown is invaluable.

For the Scarlet Knight, the fifth-year goaltender has filled a crucial role. He has proven to be a reliable piece and formed good chemistry with his teammates. As the season winds down, Rutgers will rely on him as they try to make a deep postseason run.
