Kyle Petty at Daytona Beach Barnes & Noble for Saturday morning book signing

Kyle Petty has been coming to Daytona Beach twice a year since he was in diapers, literally — he was just a month old when he first joined his famous racing family here in 1960.

Some 62 years later, he's not just returning as an NBC announcer and former racer, but as an author — his recently released autobiography is "Swerve or Die: Life at My Speed in the First Family of NASCAR Racing," in collaboration with author Ellis Henican.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, Petty will be signing copies of his book at the relocated Barnes & Noble book store in the Tomoka Town Center, near the intersection of I-95 and LPGA Boulevard.
