The return of the L.A. Dance Project's exclusive annual gala was well worth the wait. Co-chaired by Jane Fonda, Natalie Portman, and Benjamin Millepied, with support from Zoe Saldana, Marco Perego-Saldana, Margaret Qualley, and Kevin Huvane, the magical evening was hosted at a private residence, where guests mingled under the stars.

Beyond supporting the LADP, the night's attendees were thrilled to rub actual elbows again, but even more so, there was a refueled excitement for the art of evening wear. Gala sponsor, Zadig&Voltaire made sure attendees were dressed to kill, with Andie MacDowell bringing effortlessly cool in the Trace Peacock Paisley Blouse and Georgie Flores killing in the brand's version of the perfect LBD, the Rinka Dress. Gizele Oliveira, Victoria Summer, and Sara Sampaio looked equally chic in the French label.

Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a cocktail reception, complete with a silent auction. Notable items up for bid included Zadig&Voltaire's Lazy Cuir Lisse Jacket, customized by artist Amanda Wachob. Known for contemporary painting and tattooing, Wachob continues to blur the definition of fine art—and her mix of tattoo and paint work on Zadig's jacket was no exception.

Another auction item, the brand's Le Cecilia Bag, customized in collaboration with artist Jormi, was the accessory of the night, designed by Zadig&Voltaire's Artistic Director, Cecilia Bönström.

For entertainment, L.A. Dance Project's artistic director, Millepied, and executive director, Lucinda Lent, opened the evening with a new work choreographed by former New York City Ballet principal dancer Janie Taylor, titled Night Bloom, in honor of Nicolas Bos, the chief executive officer of Van Cleef & Arpels.

As the sun set and the temperature dropped, guests stayed cozy while wrapped in Zadig&Voltaire shawls. Before a meal of selected bites from a fine culinary menu courtesy of Wolfgang Puck and enjoyed sips from French brand Aline Wines and libations from Casamigos Bar, Millepied gave a short speech and thanked the L.A. Dance Project supporters. He revealed plans to expand their venue in L.A, offering a behind-the-scenes look at their dance intensive, which supports young dancers and musicians in the community, and showed a film presented by L.A. Dance Project with Everybody Dance LA! and YOLA Film.

"The company for me has to reflect the city that we live in," Millepied summed up the whole ethos of the night to the stylish crowd, "It's really about giving opportunities to students who need a creative experience that's really positive for them."
