Sep. 12—SULLY — Lynnville-Sully rushed for 313 yards and forced five turnovers during a 48-21 home win over Class 1A East Marshall on Friday night.
The Hawks led 22-0 after one quarter and cruised to a second straight victory.
Corder Noun Harder ran for 157 yards on 13 carries, booted a 35-yard field goal in the first quarter and had 3 1/2 tackles on defense.
Kyle Squires totaled 72 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries and Maxwell Mintle had 29 yards and a TD on nine carries.
Conner Maston was 3-for-6 through the air for 48 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 44 yards and a TD on three carries and collected three tackles.
Maston's TD pass went for 37 yards to Caleb Rea in the first quarter. Rea finished with 48 yards on two catches and had a pick on defense.
Lucas Sieck completed his only pass for an 18-yard TD strike to Bryce Richards in the fourth. Richards added four tackles and an interception on defense.
Ty Jones led the Hawk defense with seven tackles, two sacks, 2 1/2 tackles for loss and one fumble recovery. Mintle chipped in 6 1/2 tackles and an interception, Lane Fisk added a team-high eight tackles and Mathias Torres collected 6 1/2 tackles. Squires finished five tackles and one fumble recovery and Braden Alberts added 2 1/2 tackles and one sack.
East Marshall (1-2) scored first in the second and had the only points in the third but the 22-0 first-quarter deficit was too much to overcome.
