L/L-M gets 59-32 win over Barnes County North in D5 tourney

Feb. 26—JAMESTOWN — The first game of the District 5 boys basketball tournament saw the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes taking on the Barnes County North Bison and the Loboes were able to get a 59-32 win on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Jamestown Civic Center.

The Loboes (12-8) shot 54% from the field in the first half as they were able to take a 28-15 lead into the half. In all four quarters, the Loboes were able to hold the Bison (8-11) to below double digits as their highest-scoring quarter was nine points in the second and fourth quarters.

Late in the fourth quarter, the Loboes were able to stretch the lead out to its largest point at 59-29. The Loboes showed off their defense in this one as they forced 24 turnovers and scored 22 points off those turnovers. The Loboes shot 50% from three in the second half and forced the Bison to shoot 17% from three in the second half.

The Loboes are back in action at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, when they face Ellendale.
