Netflix's hit series La Casa de Papel, which is also known as Money Heist, returns for a fourth season on Friday, April 3. While we're pumped for the show itself to return—according to Forbes, the heist drama the most popular foreign language TV series on Netflix—we're also looking forward to seeing our old buddies.

The last time we saw Álvaro Morte (The Professor/Salvador "Salva" Martin), Úrsula Corberó (Tokio), Paco Tous (Moscow), Jaime Lorente Lopez (Denver), Pedro Alonso (Berlin), Alba Flores (Nairobi), Miguel Herrán (Rio), Darko Peric (Helsinki), Itziar Ituño (Raquel), and Esther Acebo (Monica), they were in the middle of a heist at the Bank of Spain.

In part three, a many new characters were introduced, like Alicia (Najwa Nimri), a formidable police inspector. Season 4 is poised to turn Tatiana (Diana Gomez), Berlin's girlfriend, into a character, too.

For every new character introduced, we mourn one lost. Three beloved characters—Moscow, played by Paco Tous, Oslo, played by Roberto Garcia, and Berlin, played by Pedro Alonso—were are killed in past seasons.

Who plays Bogotá in La Casa de Papel?

In the part three, viewers were introduced to Hovik Keuchkerian, the Armenian and Spanish star who playys Bogotá. If Keuchkerian, a former boxer, looks familiar, that's because he's starred in the 2016 film Assassin's Creed alongside Michael Fassbender, and in the limited series The Night Manager with Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie.

Some might call her the new Raquel, but Alicia is so much worse. Played by 47-year-old Spanish actress Najwa Nimri, Alicia Sierra is the new negotiator who doesn't care about following any rules. She's brought on to deal with the fact that Rio has been captured by the Spanish equivalent of the CIA. Besides being an actress, Nimri is a singer and has released over 10 albums throughout her career. Her latest single "Lento," which means "slow" in English, is now available.


Who plays Palermo in La Casa de Papel?

Palermo is an integral character in part three. Argentine actor Rodrigo de la Serna is bringing the criminal mastermind to life in La Casa de Papel. The 43-year-old star is most known for his role as Alberto Granado in the 2004 film The Motorcycle Diaries. De la Serna played the real-life traveling companion of Che Guevarra, a major figure of the Cuban revolution, during their 1952 motorcycle tour in Latin America.

Luka Peros, a 42-year-old Croatian actor, is mostly known for his voiceover work, according to his IMDb profile. Peros graduated from Emerson College in 2000 with a BFA in Performing Arts and has worked as a puppeteer at the Zagreb Puppet Theatre in Croatia.

He has also worked with Corberó (Tokio) and Nimri in the past. The three starred in the 2019 Netflix Spanish film The Tree of Blood, which is about a young couple that discovers deep, dark secrets as they write about their families' history.

Álvaro Morte is forever famous for playing Money Heist's bespectacled mastermind. Raise your hand if you're on team Alba Flores! Yeah, we are too. There would be no Money Heist without Flores' fierce energy. The 33-year-old actress comes from a show-biz family: Her father was a composer, and her mother a theatrical producer. Flores' aunts, Lolita Flores and Rosario Flores, are both famous singers.

When Money Heist began, Itziar Ituño Martínez played a savvy and no-nonsense police inspector. Now, her character has switched sides and joined the robbers. In addition to studying theater, Ituño graduated with a degree in sociology. She acts in Basque and Castilian Spanish.

Úrsula Corberó carries Money Heist with her performance as the elegant, enigmatic, and more than often hot-headed thief, Tokio. Prior to La Casa de Papel, Corberó was most known for playing Ruth Gomez in the Spanish series Física o Química, which ran from 2008 to 2011.

Fans of Élite will recognize Miguel Herrán as Christian, a kind-hearted transfer student to Las Encinas who gets involved in the school's drama on day one. Rio, his character in Money Heist is similar, in that he gets in over his head quickly.

Jaime Lorente is a familiar face for fans of Netflix's Spanish-language fare. In addition to playing Denver on Money Heist, he plays Nano in Élite, the addictive and racy teen TV show. Fittingly, Lorente is dating another star of Netflix's Spanish shows. Maria Pedraza, Lorente's girlfriend, is in Toy Boy, Money Heist, and Élite.

Berlin is the Professor's older half-brother, and the man who enacts all of the Professor's wild plans. "He’s a bad guy, he’s a sociopath, he’s dangerous but, on the other side, he’s honest, he’s funny and he’s authentic,” Alonso told Drama Quarterly. The magnetic actor also starred in fellow Spanish dramas The Embassy, Grand Hotel and The Ministry of Time. Berlin died in season 2 of Money Heist, but Alonso hardly lost his job—he appeared in season 3, and is set to be in season 4, too.

Paco Tous was like the cuddly bear of the Money Heist crew. His character, Moscow, was Denver's father. The Seville-born actor starred in the Spanish police drama Los hombres de Paco—a.k.a Paco's Men. Tous played Paco himself.
