PAIN AT THE PUMP: Gas prices are soaring and it may only get worse. In L.A. County, prices are up for the 10th consecutive day, reaching the highest price tag since November of 2019.
- Gas prices are soaring. And it may only get worse. In Los Angeles County, prices are up for the 10th consecutive day. The Auto Club of Southern California says the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular is $4.09 a gallon. That's the highest since November of 2019.
Prices are also up across Southern California. AAA blames the higher prices on reduced gasoline production and inventory. Last year at this time, there was also a big decline in driving because of stay-at-home orders.
