The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Tuesday reported 2,091 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 157 deaths, bringing countywide totals to 1,183,378 cases and 20,057 deaths.
JEFF VAUGHN: Although it appears that we are over the coronavirus winter surge, LA County has reached 20,000 total COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic. The county also reported more than 2,000 new cases, 2,100 hospitalized. Orange County has 250 new infections, 539 hospitalizations. Riverside County 719 more cases, 407 hospitalizations, 31 deaths. San Bernardino County 215 new infections, 414 hospitalizations, 14 more deaths. In Ventura County 137 additional cases, 143 hospitalizations, 11 new deaths.
