LA County eligible to advance to least-restrictive yellow COVID tier

Los Angeles County is now eligible to advance to the least-restrictive yellow tier in the state's reopening framework, according to state data released Tuesday.

- La County on the verge of moving to the least restrictive yellow tier.

- That's right, it's based on La County's daily rate of new COVID-19 cases. They just fell low enough to qualify for that move into the yellow tier, but the County must meet that threshold this week before advancing. Shifting into the yellow tier would mean capacity restrictions could be eased even more both indoors and outdoors. It would also allow bars to finally reopen indoors with limited capacity.
