La Petite Ecole, a dual-language school, is moving to a new, larger building at 201 S. Fairview Road in June, the school said in a news release.

The move comes after 15 years in its current location inside Community of Christ Church, 1111 S. Fairview Road.

The private, not-for-profit school includes students in preschool through fifth grade. Morning instruction is only in French, while afternoon instruction is only in English.

Principal Joelle Quorin started the school in her home with seven students in 2005. In February, around 60 were enrolled.

"Additional space has become a necessity, given the school's continued growth," the news release reads.

The move will allow the school to provide its educational model to a larger group of children, the news release reads.

"Since planting a seed in 2005 when our little school began, we have done a terrific jobs of expanding children's minds," Quorin said in the news release.

The location is the Fairview Road Church of Christ, but the school is not affiliated with the church and is not affiliated with Community of Christ Church now.

"The layout is perfect for our school," said Janet Russell, assistant principal. "It's perfectly fitted for our school."
