La Salle, Prout, Rogers, Mt. Hope lacrosse are all winners; Plus Friday's schedule

BOYS LACROSSE

Division I

La Salle 23, Portsmouth 2

Drew Bradley found the net for 5 goals and added 2 assists and Colby Friggon and Ronan Peterson each scored 3 goals with three assists as La Salle dominated Portsmouth in Division I. Joe Leavrealt did his best to keep Patriots in the game as he recorded 16 saves in the loss.

Division II

Prout 15, Chariho 13

Mark Belcher and Declan Foley each had 4 goals with 2 two assists and Liam McIntosh found the back of the net 3 times with 1 helper as Prout slipped past Chaiho in a high-scoring encounter. Mason Keramidas played a pivotal role in the victory as he had 19 faceoffs wins. Maxwell Marshall had 5 goals and assisted on 3 others and Cole Jennings had 3 goals and an assist and Jackson Hernandez had two scores and 2 assists for the Chargers.

Division IV

Rogers 7, North Smithfield 6

Dylan Walker led the Vikings with 3 goals and an assist, and teammate Chase Arment added a pair of goals and 3 assists as Rogers edged the Northmen. Both Arment and Nick Bodycoat were strong in the defensive zone and David Rivera (1 goal and an assist) had some great clears in the victory. Patrick Stalh had 10 saves for Rogers in net.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Division II

Mt. Hope 8, Cranston West 7 (o.t.)

Emma Serbst's lone goal of the game came with 1:11 left in overtime giving the Huskies the victory over the Falcons. Leading the way for the for Cranston West were Lola Silva who had 3 goals, Reyn Ferris with 2 scores and Maria Lacey and Ella Quesnella with a goal each. Shivani Mehta chipped in with two assists. Emily Moran recorded 5 saves to pick up the win. For CW, Emily Abendroth and Aria Lee each had 3 goals and 2 assists and Julia Shellard had a goal. Netminder Hailey Davis had 10 saves for CW.

Division III

Johnston 8, PCD 5

Hannah LaVergne scored six goals and added two assists and Kaylee Poole scored the other two goals as Johnston upended PCD. Goaltender Riley Guenette had six saves to pick up the win for the Panthers. Marguerite Cuzzone and Eloise Wetherby had two goals apiece for the Knights in the loss.

BASEBALL

Division I

Mt. Hope 10, Moses Brown 6

After the Quakers scored 6 runs in the second inning to take the lead, Ethan Santerre came on in relief and pitched 5.1 innings, allowed just one hit, with 7 strikeouts and no walks for the Huskies. At the plate, Danny Desilits and Parker Camelo each went 2-4 with 3 RBIs, and Matt Gale was also 2-4 with an RBI. Mt. Hope totaled 12 hits to storm back for the win. For Moses Brown, Tyler Boudreau was 2-3 at the plate in the loss.

Lincoln 8, Portsmouth 3

Elijah Moffat and Gian Coppolino each drove in a pair of runs and Ethan Gray tossed five innings for the Lions, allowing 3 runs and striking out 7 Patriots to earn the win. Lucas Marshall worked two innings and struck out 3 to pick up the save. For Portsmouth, Cameron Ruggieri struck out 4 over 4.2 innings in the loss. Patriots catcher Nicholas Spaner was 2-3 with a run scored.

VOLLEYBALL

Division I

La Salle 3, South Kingstown 0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-16)

The Rams improve to 2-0 on the year with a win over the Rebels. Ali Abdur-Razzak had 21 assists and 2 aces and Nick Lisi had 10 kills and 3 digs in the win. JV - La Salle, 2-0.

North Kingstown 3, Classical 0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-17)

The frontcourt play of Cody Tow (11 kills, 4 aces and 7 digs and Jared Samson (10 kills, 2 blocks) lifted the Skippers to a win over the Purple. Tyler Yang was solid in his role as facilitator as he dished off 33 assists to go along with 3 kills.

Division II

Central 3, Westerly 2 (25-27, 25-22, 24-26, 25-22, 15-10)

The Knights' Jet Nascimento led the way with 20 kills, 6 blocks, 4 digs, George Correy added 15 Kills and Joshua Ramirez had 38 assists, 4 aces. For Westerly, Jack Kenyon had 22 kills, 11 blocks and Brian Allen tallied 21 digs, 3 aces.

Barrington 3, West Warwick 0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-15). JV - WW, 2-0.

Cranston West 3, East Providence 0 (25-14, 25-7, 25-19)

Aidan Hay dished off 20 assists and added 4 kills and Dimitri LeBlanc was good for 7 kills and 4 digs in the Falcons' sweep of the Townies. East Providence got solid efforts from DJ Lepine (5 kills, 6 assists, 1 ace) and Jordan Rodrigues (10 digs) in the loss.

Division III

Central Falls 3, Mt. Hope 0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-19)

The Warriors' Chande Nobre Soares had 3 kills, 1 block, 4 aces, 10 assists, Euge Simon had 4 kills 3 blocks, 2 aces and Jamilson Depina Almeida added 3 kills, 4 blocks and 6 Aces.

BOYS TENNIS

Division II

East Providence 5, West Warwick 2

Brayden Rouette's three-set victory (0-6, 6-4, and 6-3) in No. 3 singles proved to be the deciding point in the Townies victory over the Wizards. East Providence remains undefeated at 3-0 while the Wizards slip to 2-1.
