Is WWE's Lacey Evans returning to wrestling?WWE

Lacey Evans left WWE back in August after eight years with the company.

During her time as a WWE Superstar, Evans, who now goes by her real name Macey Estrella, went from NXT to the main roster, eventually portraying a character inspired by her military background.

Since leaving WWE, Evans is yet to step in a wrestling ring again, leading fans to wonder if she could soon end up in AEW or Impact/TNA.

But during an appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Evans explained why you're unlikely to see her wrestling again anytime soon.

Explaining that she hasn't taken any bookings since leaving WWE, Evans said: "I did WWE for seven years and it was never my passion, that was never a secret.

"It was incredible to see my fellow sports entertainers [succeed], that is their passion. But I just knew that, you know, I went out there and did the best that I could, I did my job.

"But I always looked forward to coming home."

During her time in WWE, Evans travelled on the road with her husband and her daughter before she welcomed her second child in October 2021.

Evans continued: "When I got signed with WWE, I was a mom and I was a wife. I’ve been with my husband since I was 15.

" It was an incredible opportunity. But it was a lot for whenever you compare what your passion is, and you’re wise and WWE is very, very difficult.

"If you’re on the road well over 300 days a year, they want a lot from you. And I just, there was always something in the back of my head that was like 'what the f**k am I doing?'"

Evans also revealed that she was given Vince McMahon's blessing to try for a second child before she was unexpectedly put in a storyline with Ric and Charlotte Flair, which would eventually see her win the Women's Championship.

However in February 2021, Evans announced she was pregnant and the storyline came to an abrupt end.

Reflecting on what happened, Evans said: "A lot of people say I ruined my career and this and that.

"But this morning I woke up and saw that little s**t looking at me with a big smile on her face and my husband waking up. You can't tell me I ruined anything. I got exactly what I wanted."
