Lady Chief competitive cheer finishes second at Comstock

The White Pigeon competitive cheer team had a solid finish at the Comstock Invitational held on Wednesday.

The Lady Chiefs piled up 520.40 total points for the invitational, which put them in second place overall. Coach Alex Long said the team was able to build upon their previous high score, setting a new one on Wednesday.

White Pigeon scored 189.1 points in the first round, 142.1 in the second and piled on 189.2 points in the third and final round.

South Haven took first place officially at the event with 562.52 points. Fennville finished third at 492.5, Hartford came in fourth with a 334.3 and Comstock was fifth with a 291.3 final score. Both Fennville and Comstock did not compete in the third and final round.

The White Pigeon scores in the first and third rounds on Wednesday were the team's best for the season.
