Lady Gaga just got two brand new tattoos, one of which pays homage to the success that she's had with her Oscar-nominated performance in A Star Is Born.

The singer showed off her new ink on both Twitter and Instagram. Her first tattoo was a large drawing of a rose, along with the words "La Vie en Rose," on her spine. The words references French singer Édith Piaf's song of the same name. Gaga, as her character Ally, sang "La Vie en Rose" in a drag dive bar before meeting Bradley Cooper's character, Jackson Maine, for the first time.

"La Vie en Rose" has real-life significance to both Gaga and Cooper too. Back in 2016, Cooper watched Gaga perform the French song at the opening of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Sean Parker's house. That performance inspired Cooper to cast Gaga for the role of Ally.

"Happy Valentine's Day," Gaga wrote on Instagram on Thursday, captioning the picture of her brand new ink. "A tattoo toast to 'la vie en rose' by the beautiful @winterstone my spinal cord is now a rose."

The 32-year-old also got a second tattoo of a series of musical notes in "G" and "A" to spell out her stage name in a unique and musical manner. "Musical crisis averted," she wrote, revealing there was almost a mistake with it. "Too many tequilas forgot the fifth staff line poor thing. Here’s the real deal."
