Lady Gaga walks the red carpet for 'House of Gucci' in London

She was joined by co-stars Adam Driver, Salma Hayek, and Jared Leto.

Based on the book "The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed" by Sara Gay Forden, the film tells the story of the downfall of the Gucci family and the assassination of Maurizio Gucci, played by Adam Driver.

Lady Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani who was tried and convicted of orchestrating the 1995 murder. Reggiani, dubbed the Black Widow in what was one of the most scandalous high society crimes in Italian history, served 18 years in prison and was released in 2016.

The film is the first for Gaga since she took her music career to the big screen in "A Star is Born," which brought her an Oscar for best original song "Shallow" and a best actress nomination.

Directed by Ridley Scott and filmed in various European cities including Rome and Florence, the film's star-studded cast also features Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek, Camille Cottin and Al Pacino.

"House of Gucci" is due to be released globally from November 24.
